mystery
These are all three of Wesley's pairs of shoes. The boys can be at a park together, in a field together, or in a parking lot together, and Wesley comes away dirty. The blue shoes? He was playing in a pile of vomit in a parking lot. The black ones? A mud puddle. The blue ones? Daddy was in charge for that episode, so I'm not even going to ask.

It's good to be big
Parents often say, "How quickly they grow!", but sometimes kids see it themselves. Oliver stared at his body yesterday and said, "Mommy, my feet are getting big. My legs too. My legs are big now."
He also loves to call himself a big boy, in contrast to Maxie, the little boy. Max, of course, responds by finding babies in strollers and saying "baby! baby!" very loudly.
A turning point in parenting: Oliver and Max wrestled yesterday, with great laughter. Oliver looked to me and said, "Oliver _likes_ Maxie!" That's the first good word about Max we've heard from Oliver since, well, since Max was born.
